Live Evil Review ***must read***

Got word today that Fangoria Magazine gave Live Evil a great review. For all of those who don't know what Live Evil is, it was the first film that I had the pleasure of working on. We wrapped shooting over a year ago and it has been getting great press ever since, leading up to it's theatrical release next month along with the Video On Demand and DVD releases coming up.

I enjoyed every minute that I got to work on this film the many many amazing people that I met along the way. I was Key makeup/Hair & special FX's makeup. Here are a few pics from the set and also a link to the great review.

If interested you can also check out the website http://www.liveevilthemovie.com/

FYI my son was also in the movie, he played a little vampire.

My son, Fidencio Barrios with Tim Thomerson and Jay Wofel (director)

Me with Elisa/Jerry (yes that is a girl) She was amazing, hours and hours of makeup and not a single complaint. (and yes I did color in my clevage, lol)

Working on tattoos on Ken Foree.
If you get a chance to see the film, this is my favorite part of the whole movie. The reason being that Makeup is very difficult when filming in black & white, it has to be enough to be noticable but not too much. I love this whole scene and greg was such a sport.

Mothers Day In Santa Barbara

I love my family so much, they were so sweet and took me to Santa Barbara this year for Mother's day and then when we got home they did the laundry for me!!!
Some pics from the fun day.
this was a bird that was just hanging out on the pier.

Kellie being scared of the bird. . .

Pile showing the kids how slimy the fishes are. .

The kids on the little boat that took us around this huge cruise ship.

Captain Fidencio, he wasn't too happy that they made him wear the hat, and eventhough the captain said to just hold onto the wheel he decided it was a great idea to turn it and make the people in the back of the boat fall down.

Fathers Day at Ports O'Call

It's a family tradition that each year we take Fidencio to Ports O'Call in San Pedro for all the seafood he can stomach. Fidencio is originally from Mazatlan Mexico so he can stomach quite a bit of seafood. Here are some pictures from the day, this year we included Grandpa Barrios and Fernando, Fidencio's Brother, who became a new father this year, in the festivities.

Welcome to the Barrios Family Blog.

First things first. Introductions . .
Gabriella Maria Barrios - 9 years old, birthday is 03/03. We all call her Gabby, she is a very energetic and spunky girl that loves to talk and just be silly in general. She loves to dance and is pretty good at doing the "jerkin" dance with her dad. She is a "daddy's girl" in every sense of the word.

Fidencio Barrios - He is 7 years old, he was born on 07/04/02 (yes the 4th of July), he is named after his dad, his grandfather and his great grandfather so he is a 4th generation Fidencio. He's a very silly boy who loves his video games and his Legos. He loves to play jokes on people and pick on his sister, but can't stand it when she isn't around.

Amber & Fidencio - We have been together for almost 11 years now, we fell in love in 1999 and haven't been apart for more than a couple of days since then. We were officially married on January 11, 2006 in Norwalk, CA. In May 1999 we moved together to Long Beach, CA and shortly there after started our family, first was Gabriella Maria on 03/03/00 and then came Fidencio on 07/04/02. Fidencio works as a Carpenter with his father and they are trying to build their business F&F Construction. Amber works as an Wife/Mommy/Accounting Specialist/Makeup Artist/Hair Stylist. Life is good and only getting better!

Kellie McReynolds - 16 years old. We have deamed her an honorary Barrios. Kellie is Amber's sister and moved to Long Beach, CA with us on December 2, 2008. She has been trying to adjust to the "big city" life after Star Valley, and is doing great. She works at a Japanese restaurant and goes to school. Kellie will be a Junior at Norwalk High School this year and wants to start taking cosmetology course at Cerritos College.

There is a first time for everything

So I have decided to join the masses and figure out Blogger. Now I can't guarantee anything wonderful and majestic but hey it might be funny.
